The PING Zing 2 is a true Karsten-era classic and one of the standout shapes in PING’s vintage putter history. It offers a more flowing profile than the Anser, with a thin top line, soft heel-toe shaping and a clean sightline that keeps the look simple at address.

This example carries the correct Made in U.S.A., U.S. Pat. 4,527,799, and Karsten MFG. Corp. Phoenix, AZ. 85068 cavity stamping, with bold white PING and ZING 2 paintfill. The copper-toned head gives it the warm, aged look that collectors love, while the black PING grip keeps the club looking period-correct and highly displayable.

The Zing 2 has strong collector interest because of its shape, feel and history. It has also become a favourite among vintage PING players because it delivers a very pure, old-school strike without modern insert technology or oversized mallet weighting. A golf-history source also notes the Zing 2’s popularity among classic putter fans and references its association with major-winning players, including José María Olazábal.

Condition is pre-owned, with visible patina, shaft wear, surface marks and age-related finish wear as shown in the photos. That natural ageing is part of the appeal and should not be polished away unless the buyer specifically wants a restored look.
